“My recent work includes playful representations of figures, animals and the landscape. There are hints of narrative, but the viewer is left to attach their own meaning to the images or create their own story. The works have a dreamlike sense, and I think of them as visual poems. I try to create a feeling of emotional intensity using rich, vibrant swathes and marks of colour and pattern.”
