Christina Reading

Christina is an artist that lives and works in Brighton, A graduate of Central St Martins her practice now mainly consists of painting mixed with forays into photography and printmaking. Her work is an ongoing investigation into the nature of the female experience as mediated by the press, personal experience and observation. The departure point for my painting practice is usually photographs or drawings of family and friends which are then transformed through the process of painting, aiming to invest in the painting something that is absent from the original source. The work aims to play with, and capture the materiality and vibrancy of paint.
