André Lichtenberg was born in Brazil and has been living in UK for the last 20 years. His work is contemporary and personal (a blend between photography and painting) with a hyper real edge.

André has an MA in photographic Studies from The University of Westminster (1996) and has been the recipient of several prestigious Awards in the Photographic Industry including:

2009 - AOP Photographers Awards
2007 - IPG/Terry O’neil Award (finalist)
2006 – Travel Photographer of the Year

His work has been published and exhibited worldwide. Selected group shows include: AOP Gallery (London), Barbican Centre (London), Photographers Gallery (London), Centro Cultural Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Museum da Republica (Rio – Brazil) to name a few…

“Photography is my passion, I work with either digital cameras or a 4X5 large format film camera. I love producing personal projects and I like to print my images reasonably large. I release my work in small limited editions of normally 20 images”.
